The Arts of Magick
Creative acts allow us to access our unconscious and help us shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. We use our creative talents to explore both the hidden and seen universe. Our Arts of Magick events are unique in that they blend the exploration of spiritual and magical practices through creative techniques such as painting, drawing, writing prose and poetry. We choose amazing settings to create a unique experience, be it an old English Manor house or set in an Italian landscape on the outskirts of Turin. Our guest speakers are all highly experienced and knowledgeable, bringing a wealth of practise to lead discussions and the sharing of ideas. All materials are provided, you don’t need any special skills or knowledge just your own curiosity.

Over three days, Adrien Mastrosimone leads us into the world of Alice through the lens of the Tarot de Marseille, using its ancient imagery as a living mirror for the self. Part inner journey and part magical adventure, this is shadow work with a genuine twist of wonder.

Diane Narraway leads this two day celebration of light and shadow, exploring the mythic tradition of the lightbringers, the torch bearers, and the ancient revelry of Saturnalia. The Rites of Hekate

Over five days in ancient Anatolia, Lenni George leads a working retreat at the very threshold of Hekate's world. The centrepiece is a day at Lagina, site of one of the most important temples ever raised in the goddess's name, but the work goes far deeper than pilgrimage. Drawing on the Greek Magical Papyri, the practice of Deipnon, the writing of invocations, and devotional ritual, participants build a living relationship with the Queen of the Crossroads that continues long after the retreat ends. For the serious practitioner who wants to meet the goddess on her own ground.

Goddesses and Gods: The temples and Oracles of Asia Minor

Extending directly from the Rites of Hekate retreat, this tour moves through the sacred landscape of western Anatolia visiting the temples of Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite at Aphrodisias, and Athena, the great Library of Celsus at Ephesus, and the healing sanctuary of the Asklepion. A rare chance to walk ground where the old gods were not myth but living presence.

At the height of summer, we return to Unstone Grange for a weekend in the company of the Fair Folk. Jo Hickey Hall, whose research into modern sightings and green magic draws on years of fieldwork and scholarship, leads two days of practical and creative work that takes the old stories entirely seriously. Expect plant lore, pathworking, and the chance to plant a explore natural magical elements in five acres of Derbyshire woodland.
